His work has been shown in exhibitions around the Uk, and his illustrations have been featured in magazines such as The Mancunion (cover issue feb 2024) and comics anthologies. He has self published a number of short publications.

The process behind his work includes a variety of analog experimentations centred around structure and colour, often using heavy line weights. The sequential nature of most of his pieces makes the work inherently narrative.

Ruben has an academic background in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Manchester and a Masters degree in Illustration from the Camberwell College or Arts (UAL).
